Le chat noir.

This painting has been inspired by Theophile Steinlen's famous night club poster he made for the Bohemian night club in Montmarte Paris called Le Chat Noir. I thought it would be fitting to put the black cat on top of the rooftops of Montmartre under the full moon.

Acrylic on canvas, 45.5 x 61cm. Click on the image for a larger view.

Sculpting in the backyard.

Now that it is spring time in London and some days are nice and sunny I can now spend time sculpting outside. I am currently working on a figure of a women carved from a piece of local oak. I plan to mount this sculpture on a piece of old paving sandstone I have found in the Thames.
