Working on my Sparrow sculpture

 

I have begun working on a new sculpture called The Sparrow and Bread Crumb. Here I am cutting out the basic shape of the bird from red gum using an axe.

Started Chalk drawing on Swanson St in Melbourne again, the first time in 5 years. Thought I would kick it off with Leonard Cohen as he is touring Australia at the moment.

It is good to know that sculpture can provide a functional purpose in our daily lives!
