This is one of my favorite sketches done in my art and travel journal #5. I have been fascinated for a while with cemeteries. I find them quiet peaceful and beautiful with there little churches, gardens and grave stone decorations. I am planning to do a series of paintings of them sometime soon...
have you been to Highgate cemetery yet? if not, you will love it. go on the cheap side (3 quid, i think), where Karl Marx is buried :-) Make sure you go on a warmer day, though!
ReplyDeleteyeah went to there a few months ago £7.50 for a hour and a half tour. was really worth it did a drawing of it for the London series!
